The Scrip program is a very important part of the financial sustainability of Archbishop Hennessy Catholic School, as well as St. Boniface Parish and SS. Peter and Paul Parish. Through your purchases of Scrip (gift cards/certificates) the school and parishes earn a percentage of the sales.
Each business sells the gift cards/certificates to the program at a reduced cost. Then the gift cards/certificates are sold at face value. The profit from the difference in the purchase price and the sale price is given to the school. This in turn helps both parishes by reducing the amount the parishes pay in subsidies to the school.
The Scrip program also helps parents with tuition for Hennessy and Beckman. Buyers of Scrip can designate 1% of the profit from their purchase to go towards the tuition for their children at either Hennessy or Beckman. If purchasers do not have children in school, they may designate their 1% to go to St. Boniface Parish or SS Peter and Paul Parish, the school, towards the tuition of any other student enrolled at Hennessy or Beckman, or towards Religious education fees. If the purchaser does not designate where their 1% goes, it will automatically go to the school.
Scrip is sold before and after Mass at St. Boniface Church and SS Peter and Paul Church. Scrip can be purchased at Citizens State Bank in New Vienna and Farmers Savings Bank in Colesburg.
